Abyan: A large clean-up campaign in Zanzibar and Khanfar funded by the UAE Crescent

The Cleaning and Improvement Fund, in Abyan governorate, southern Yemen, is carrying out a large-scale clean-up campaign in the city of Zinjibār, funded by the UAE Red Crescent.
The campaign aims to lift solid waste and piles of garbage in the districts of Zinjibār and Khanfar.
The director-general of the fund for cleaning and improvement in Abyan Osama Almogari said that the campaign will last five days and aims to lift piles of garbage piled in the streets and led to the spread of mosquitoes that cause diseases and epidemics.
Al-Muwaqri added that the campaign comes after the hygiene fund stopped working due to the recent confrontations witnessed by the directorates of the governorate, which led to the accumulation of garbage piles in public streets.
