Houthis demanded a citizen to pay income tax to 500 workers on the opening day of his project, while the project does not occupy up to 100 workers.  If not, his project will be closed.

Attempts to explain the situation to IRS employees who were planted in the area suddenly with a number of gunmen did not work, said (AA), who spent a large amount of many and borrowed a lot to start his project in Sana'a:  that number of workers doesn’t even reach to 100, but it didn't mean anything. "
The IRS, after hearing his protest, they told him that he must pay 5 million riyals under the account in order to be considered later.

The Houthis have been able to activate the role of the IRS at full capacity, ignoring all legal provisions that include exemptions or grace periods such as granting new activities from one to three years a foundation period to help economic activities succeed.

In less than two months IRS employees came about again asking him to tax the profits of the project, which has just started and has not "even begun to pay his debts," he said.  "Profits are supposed to be calculated annually, I can't know my profits if there are any profits from now," he said.  He was again asked to pay an account to be considered later in the year.  A.A understands that he will not get the money back even if he goes bankrupt.
