Two thousand abducted in Houthi militia prisons in Sana'a

According to a recent survey by a human rights organization, more than 2,000 women prisoners held in Houthi militia detention centers in Sana'a are being tortured in brutal ways.

Noura al-Jarawi, head of the Women for Peace Alliance in Yemen, confirmed that cases of rape, physical violence, verbal violence and fabrication of charges against women prisoners  were recorded.

Jarawi said that a complete files on women in Yemen's prisons of the Houthi militia, and abuses, the names of those responsible for their abduction and torture, and rape cases,has been handed over to UN Human Rights Council.
