The Saudi Council of Ministers has affirmed that the Kingdom will defend its vital lands and facilities, and that it is capable of responding to these acts, whatever their source, and calls on the international community to take stricter measures to stop these blatant attacks that threaten the region and the security of oil supplies and the world economy, and to hold accountable and deter  who is standing behind it.

The Saudi Council of Ministers reiterated that the aim of this unprecedented sabotage, which threatens international peace and security, is directed primarily at the global energy supply and that it is an extension of the previous acts of aggression against the pumping stations of Saudi Aramco using Iranian weapons.

The Council of Ministers, according to a statement published by the Agency, was briefed by the Minister of Energy on the serious effects resulting from that blatant attack on the Saudi Aramco oil plants in Abqaiq and Khurais, which led to preliminary estimates to stop quantities of oil supplies.  Crude oil is estimated at 5.7 million barrels, in addition to the cessation of production of associated gases estimated at (2) billion cubic feet per day, and a decrease of about 50% of the supply of ethane and natural gas liquids.
