Egyptian police arrested three Yemeni citizens while they were accidentally near marches last night in Tahrir Square in downtown Cairo.

Ibrahim al-Jahmi, an advisor at the Yemeni embassy in Cairo, said on his Facebook page that Egyptian police arrested three Yemenis on Friday in Tahrir Square.

Al-Jahmi added: "Despite the warnings that we issued, unfortunately, were arrested three citizens yesterday, as they wander near the gatherings in Tahrir Square."

Officials and activists had called on Yemeni citizens in Egypt to stay away from protest gatherings and not to interfere in Egyptian internal affairs.
