Houthi initiative to stop attacks on Saudi Arabia

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, announced on Friday what it called an "initiative to stop attacks on Saudi Arabia", a move that reflected an Iranian attempt to shuffle the cards following the recent attacks on Aramco facilities.
The Houthi announcement came amid growing pressure on Iran and accusations of involvement in attacks on Saudi Aramco oil facilities a week ago, in conjunction with mounting US threats of a military response following the attacks on the Khurais and Abqaiq oil facilities in the east of the kingdom.
The Houthi move coincided with the announcement by the Pentagon that President Donald Trump has agreed to send military support to protect oil resources in the Gulf after the attacks on Saudi oil facilities on September 14.
