Yemeni journalist Ahmed Baidar won the Emmy Award for the tough storytelling category with PBS NewsHour, as well as a nominee for the same award for his work with ABC news nightline.

The American Prize, created in 1949, is awarded to various TV series and programs, established in 1949.

The prize is the equivalent of the Oscar. While the Oscars are limited to film production, Emmy specializes in the television production sector, and has been awarded to several American programs and series, including The Wizard of Waverly Place.

The award is organized by the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, an organization of media and leading figures from more than 50 countries and 500 companies from all television sectors around the world.

According to journalist Jane Ferguson PBS, reports from Yemen is an enormous privilege but also a serious responsibility.  When they make some terms like this to report the real effects of war.

"I was constantly aware of the need to do a good job and really tell stories well and with humanity and clarity, I hope this award means we did it," she said.

"As with all our reports, as journalists we know we will not get anywhere without local coordinators. There is no way to work in Yemen without cooperating with senior local experts. We were fortunate enough to work with a large team of drivers, photographers and producers."

She hoped that more attention would be paid to the atrocities that occur in Yemen every day and remind people that there is no such thing as collateral damage in the war.

The American journalist pointed out that there are human beings trying to survive in conditions they do not control them, pointing out that the need to protect human dignity and life in war has not been so magnificent for a long time.

Journalist Wayne Bannell of ABC news also pointed out that Yemen is an important country and a story that deserves attention.

He noted that the presence of foreign media is possible only with the help of Yemeni experts and professionals such as Ahmed Baidar, who he described as a young man who should be proud of being open to what is happening in the country he loves.
