The Mocha steam station was restarted on Thursday, with the support of the National Resistance Command, promising a return to power after a three-month break.
The plant's general manager Ali al-Raeini told Newsweek that the plant's engineers had restarted the plant after repairs to the first and second boiler pipes.
He explained that the main generator was turned on to restart the plant, but said that the return of the electricity will take between eight to ten hours in the event of no new obstacles.
Al-Ra'ini expressed his regret for the interruption in the current period, stressing that this was beyond our control.
A technical team from Al-Haswa station conducted tests to measure the thickness of the main boiler pipes using special detection rays, during which some pipes were reinforced by welding, but there are concerns that the pipes may explode again.
