Political writer Samir al-Yousifi, head of the republic's press, printing and publishing institution, said that relying on interim president Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi and his deputy Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar in the current war against the Houthi militia will not produce positive results.

Al-Yousifi said in an intervention on Al-Hadath TV on Sunday evening that the Houthis entered the war and had only Kalashnikovs, but today, five years later, they have become a military force.

"What is happening in Yemen is a process of handing over to Houthi. Legitimacy has failed and has not played its role properly."

"This war needs a true leader with responsibility," he said
He added "As long as we do not want to fight Iran at home, we need to rid Yemen of the Iranian-backed Houthi and be more transparent in this war,"
The editor-in-chief of the official newspaper Al-Jumhuriya said that "those who belong to legitimacy are living out of the war and know that no progress will be made," pointing out that "Iran benefits from Qatar in Yemen."
