Lauder hospital receives 75 cases of watery diarrhea .. An official makes a distress call

Martyr Muhannef General Hospital in the city of Lauder in Abyan governorate, southern Yemen, received (75) cases of acute watery diarrhea during September and October
The director of the hospital, Nabil al-Kazmi, in a call with "Newsyemen", said that the hospital received (75) cases of acute diarrhea, including women and children, pointing out that the majority of the injured from Lauder and central areas.
He added "We have received many cases from the directorates of Mudiya, Jishan, Al-Wadayah and Al-Muhafid. These cases are acute watery diarrhea due to the spread of mosquitoes and rodents due to the spread of stagnant water and despite the misty spraying carried out by the health office in the central region,".
He stated that the hospital received patients with diarrhea and provided them the necessary treatments, including fluids and intravenous solutions, stressing that one of the cases died of acute diarrhea.
Al-Kazimi called on the Ministry of Public Health and Population to provide the needs to face acute watery diarrhea and fevers.
