Stagnant water caused by rainfall in the al-Houthi militia-controlled Al-Jarahi directorate has caused dengue and malaria outbreaks.

Medical sources reported an outbreak of dengue fever in the Al-Jarahi directorate in Hodeidah governorate, and recorded deaths from the epidemic, amid the competent authorities of the silence.

According to the sources, 32 cases of the disease were recorded during the two days of this week in Al-Jarahi hospital, amid calls by the Ministry of Health and MSF and World Health organizations to quickly support the rural hospital with the necessary treatments to stop the spread of the epidemic, which was spread as a result of the mixing of stagnant flood water with sewage in the streets and residential neighborhoods.
