Coast Guard Forces on the west coast thwarted a major smuggling attempt on explosives-making materials with a qualitative military operation in the Red Sea west of Yemen.

According to a military source in the joint resistance, the Coast Guard Forces thwarted the shipment of fertilizer, containing 46% of urea, pointing out that this type of fertilizer enters in the manufacture of mines and explosives.

It said that the seized shipment, containing 2000 bags (100 tons) and was on its way to the Houthis militia, through smuggling, using a sea boat, led by Yemeni sailors, under the flag of an African state.

The source pointed out that the operation revealed multiple smuggling networks used by the Houthi militia to smuggle weapons, explosives manufacturing materials and other prohibitions.
