Hudaidah governorate, in the west of the country, which is controlled by the Houthi militia, is witnessing an increase in the cases of epidemics transmitted by mosquitoes, especially dengue and malaria.
Large numbers of dengue cases and deaths have been recorded since late October, especially in the al-Jarrahi district, which is under Houthi control.

Epidemic outbreaks have been fueled by stagnant swamps of mosquitoes and a lack of health services in the Houthi militia-controlled district.

A medical source told "Newsyemen", that 50 deaths have been recorded in the last two weeks, mostly children and women, not to mention hundreds of infected.

In the latest case of death, four children under the age of seven died in Al-Jarrahi directorate on Monday cause of dengue fever and lacking access to life-saving medicines.
