Mocha: Newsyemen inaugurated the training of Coast journalists, with the participation of the local authority

Newsyemen news site in Mokha began, on Saturday, a training course for a number of journalists from directorates of the West Coast, in the presence of the local authority, which revealed at the opening of the session about new projects and development programs with the support and interest of the National Resistance Command.

Participants in the six-day course receive experiences, concepts and practical applications in the field of editorial arts and modern writing.

Journalist Amin Al-Waeli welcomed the colleagues participating in the course, and the leadership of the local authority in Mocha, noting a practical goal adopted by the Editorial Board and the Newsyemen team in forming and developing a practical and professional partnership with the local communities and working with the people of Tihama and the West Coast

He also looked forward to the launch of the local version of Newsyemen in the Tihama Directorates of the Coast, to complement the existing effort and the work locally managed by the Mocha team in Newsyemen.


He added, that the session was a little late than what was planned by Newsyemen from an early date, due to the circumstances that did not help those in charge of it, but in the end we managed to hold it.

He wished the participants in the course to benefit that meets their ambition and achieve the desired goal of gaining experience and activating daily participation in media work.

Noting the great effort of the course coordinator, colleague Faisal Hassan, head of the Mocha team, to prepare and enable the meeting in this way.

For his part, the director of the Mocha Sultan Mahmoud Directorate said that the press has become the main engine for issues and development programs, praising the role and work of Newsyemen, Professor Nabil Al-Soufi, his team and colleagues at this important stage.

Mahmoud called on journalists to convey the reality truthfully and honestly, away from the intimidation and falsehood presented by some press websites.

He called the trainees to be the voice of the coast and its directorates during the transmission of the sincere word to help the local authority in managing the reconstruction and development programs for the affected areas, as we are in the stage of building what was destroyed by the war and defense against the Houthi militias.

Mahmoud revealed a number of development projects that will be launched during the next phase of the coastal directorates in general and Mocha in particular.

He said that among the projects is a hospital provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a capacity of 50 beds, in addition to a factory for the production and packaging of oxygen for hospitals operating in Mocha.

He expressed his thanks to the Emirati Red Crescent and the efforts made by the leader of the national resistance, Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, in achieving development projects for the districts of the Coast.

For his part, journalist and coach of the course, Ali Jaabour, stressed the importance of the course for junior journalists, as it will give them an opportunity to learn the basics of the profession in which they work and gain the necessary expertise to engage in the profession and serve the local community.

He said, that the male and female trainees will receive practical concepts and applications on the arts of journalism writing, from the news, the report, and the human story.
