The head of the government team in the Redeployment Coordination Committee in Hodeidah, Major General Mohamed Aida, said that the Redeployment Coordination Committee made no progress towards implementing the provisions of the Stockholm Agreement during its last meeting last week.

Aida added, in a statement to the Saudi newspaper Okadh, published on Sunday, that the Houthis refuse to hand over Hodeidah and its institutions to legitimacy and insist that their militias take it, which is the biggest problem that still faces us.

The head of the government team accused the Houthi militia of placing obstacles in front of the international team, stressing that the Houthis are war advocates and do not want to implement the Stockholm Agreement, and they are seeking new negotiations, despite the fact that the committee’s task is to implement the agreement and not enter into negotiations.

Aida explained that the Houthi militias continue to violate the ceasefire, while they attribute these violations to government forces.

He pointed out that the revolutionaries refuse to remove mines, raise barriers and open humanitarian corridors, while their gangs loot caravans of relief materials and sell them on the black market, which was previously exposed by international relief organizations.

A spokesman for the joint forces in Hodeidah, Colonel Waddah al-Dubeish, accused the revolutionary militia of exploiting Stockholm to steal and trade in relief aid and smuggling weapons and drugs through the ports of Hodeidah, stressing that the implementation of the agreement will eliminate the dreams of wealthy Houthi leaders.

He also blamed the UN envoy Martin Griffiths for the lack of implementation, stressing that his weak role made "Stockholm" a complex agreement.

He wondered: Does the agreement need false briefings and all these travel and budgets throughout this period? ».

Al-Dubeish considered that the Iranian regime is not far from interfering with the failure of the implementation of the agreement, as it is the main driver of the Houthi militia, stressing that the seizure of the Iranian ship a month ago by the American forces is the biggest proof that Tehran does not want stability in Yemen.
