Training 12 teachers to deal with blind students in Abyan

The Fatima Al-Aqel School for the Blind, in the city of Jaar, Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen, on Monday, launched a training course in dealing with the blind, with the participation of 12 teachers.

The course, sponsored by the Safety Association for Blind Women, aims to rehabilitate female teachers in dealing with blind students in Al-Aqel School.

Souad Yahya Hassan, principal of the Fatima Al-Aqel School for the Blind, urged the volunteer teachers in the course to take advantage of the course in the art of movement and movement for blind students, as well as how to use (Braille) methods, a method of teaching the blind, wishing the participants success.

She said that the five-day course aims to develop the knowledge and skills of female teachers ’performance in dealing with blind and modern teaching methods.

It is worth noting that the Fatima Al-Aqil School for the Blind in the city of Jaar is based in the Agricultural Technical Institute building as a temporary headquarters, and operates without an operational budget to run the school's work and its volunteer teachers for free.
