The security belt and rapid intervention forces foiled an attempt to steal a sea boat in the Ahur district of Abyan Governorate, south of Yemen.
A security source said that the belt forces monitored arrangements by a gang active in the hashish and drug trade to steal a sea boat in Ahwar.
He added that the southern forces foiled the operation, clashed with the gunmen, and arrested three of them, while the fourth managed to escape.
The source pointed out that initial investigations with the seized elements revealed that they were planning to steal and smuggle the boat to the militia of the Islah party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, in the coastal city of Shuqra.
