3 billion and 908 million dollars raised by the United Nations on behalf of Yemen in 2019

Total donor funding inside and outside the humanitarian response plan in Yemen reached 3 billion and 908 million dollars in 2019, 89% of the total requirements of the plan approved by the United Nations, amounting to $ 4.2 billion.

According to data from the Tracking Funding Services for the Humanitarian Plan in Yemen 2019, donor funding for the income of the humanitarian response plan amounted to $ 3 billion and $ 501 million, while off-plan funding was $ 406 million.

Funds for the United Nations humanitarian plan in Yemen this year came from 40 countries and 41 other donors, and the volume of funding inside and outside the United Nations humanitarian plan in Yemen is the largest funding received by the United Nations this year compared to previous years.

Donors provide their money to support humanitarian work in Yemen to the United Nations without allocation or accountability, and the United Nations allocates it and distributes it to its agencies and organizations operating in Yemen, and it operates in Yemen but ultimately, it is at the disposal of the Houthi administration.

There are 267 organizations operating in Yemen, 10 affiliated with the United Nations, 38 international NGOs, 206 national NGOs, and 13 affiliated with the government, and thousands of local sub-organizations are working with national NGOs.
