A lawyer revealed on Monday that three kidnapped people were subjected to brutal torture in the prisons of the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, in Hodeidah, Dhamar and Sanaa.

Lawyer Abdel-Majid Sabra said that today (Monday) he attended the investigation of the three kidnapped people in the specialized criminal prosecution office, which is under the control of the Houthis in Sana'a, and they are: Rabea Jilan Yahya Dheibin, Ibrahim Ahmed Salem Sajid, and Majid Ahmed Thabit Al-Mushki.

Sabra pointed out that the kidnapped , Rabes Dheibin and Ibrahim Sajid, are from the Al-Duha district of Al-Hodeidah Governorate, to the west of the country, while the third kidnapped , Majid Al-Mushki, is from the Dhamar Governorate.

He said that the kidnapped (Rabae and Ibrahim) were held in the Political Security Prison in the city of Hodeidah, and then they were transferred to the Political Security Prison in Sanaa, and they were forcibly hidden and prevented from visiting or contacting for about nine months, during which they were subjected to a variety of physical and mental torture.

Lawyer Sabra added, in a post on his Facebook account, that he “noticed some scars of torture on their bodies in the hands, knees and abdomen”, pointing out that the majority of the scars of torture are no longer present due to the prolonged period of detention and the fact that they are not referred to the prosecution until after its removal some has been proven in the investigation record. "

He went on to say: "Among the methods of torture they were subjected to: torture by electricity, hanging by hands and feet while tied to the back, and beatings with hands and feet and an electric cable in the chest and testicles."

The kidnapped, Rabae, reported that he was tortured for two months and is still suffering from pain in his testicles and chest.

Concerning the accusation facing the kidnappers, by the member of the Houthi prosecution, the lawyer, Sabra, said that the kidnappers denied it and said that the investigators were the ones who were writing what was stated in the case file, and they only heard it while they were being investigated by the specialized criminal prosecution.

He pointed out that the third kidnapper, "Majed Al-Mushki", was arrested in January 2017 in Dhamar and remained for eight months.

Lawyer Abdel-Majid Sabra said that, during his detention, al-Mushki reported that he had been tortured by hanging to the ceiling of the prison and beaten and insulted with inappropriate words.

The kidnapped said that "he was a soldier in Marib, a trainer of a regular movement, and did not participate in any hostilities. After hearing the amnesty decision from Sanaa, he returned to his city of Dhamar, but they (meaning the Houthis) left him six months after his return and then arrested him."

Lawyer Sabra concluded by saying that he demanded the release of the three kidnapped and handing him a copy of the file to defend them.
