A senior military commander and dozens of soldiers have been martyred in battles in the Naham Front, east of the capital, Sana'a, as fierce battles are taking place with the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.
A senior military source in the combined forces of Ma'rib said that the commander of Brigade 203, Brigadier General Zaid Al-Shoumi was killed in the battles taking place at the bottom of the strategic Jabal Al-Manar, which was controlled by the Houthi militia at dawn today.
The source pointed out that dozens of soldiers were also killed in the confrontations, stressing in the context that the army is fighting heavy battles to restore the mountain range.
