The spokesperson for the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Eng. Muhammad Al-Masbahi, warned that the power plants in Aden will be out of service due to the running out of fuel.

Al-Masbahi confirmed, in a press release, that the remaining fuel quantities for the power stations in Aden will be exhausted this evening, calling for the speedy pumping of fuel for the stations in order not to stop working.

He said that the speed of response in providing fuel is an urgent necessity to maintain the services of citizens and a challenge no less important than other challenges that the country is witnessing. Electricity, water, hygiene and health are among these challenges.

Al-Masbahi added: “The quantities of diesel fuel present in the generating stations will be completely depleted after this evening, indicating that not providing them with fuel will make the exit of the generating stations unavoidable.”

Al-Masbahi continued, saying: The alarm sounded, and I hope that my message will reach the higher authorities so that the impending catastrophe is avoided due to the running out of fuel, the complete exit of the generating stations and the network, and the exacerbation of electric extinguishers.
