Al-Zubaidi calls for leaving differences to face the Corona pandemic

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, announced on Sunday a number of measures that the Council has taken and is taking to confront the Corona epidemic that has killed many people in different countries around the world.
Al-Zubaidi called, in a speech broadcast by the "Aden Independent" channel, the southern political forces to leave differences and disparities to confront the new pandemic of the Corona virus.
Al-Zubaidi said that the council initiated, from an early age, to study the problem and the directions that would confront the pandemic, and began taking a number of the necessary precautions.
He pointed to the formation of an emergency committee to follow up the crisis of the emergence of the emerging Corona virus, consisting of all relevant agencies and bodies.
He pointed out that the emergency committee set up by the council works with the competent health authorities to prepare places for quarantine in all governorates of the south to preserve any persons suspected of carrying the virus similar to what was prepared in the capital, Aden.
He added, "The world is going through an exceptional and difficult situation due to the Corona virus, and this pandemic poses a danger to us more than others, especially in light of the deterioration of the health system and the lack of devices and capabilities to face this pandemic, as is the case in the rest of the world."
Al-Zubaidi added: "These measures require restricting movements, gatherings and activities in all its forms, this matter will not be achieved without your cooperation and response to the health, security and administrative agencies concerned with following up the procedures for dealing with this pandemic according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization."
The President of the Transitional Council called on the World Health Organization and all international and regional organizations concerned with urgent intervention on the ground to save our people and relief them with food, medicine, equipment necessary to face the new Corona virus, the consequences of which will be catastrophic.
"At the same time, we call on all political forces of all directions to overcome all inter-ethnic differences and unite efforts to cooperate and join hands to confront this dangerous pandemic that threatens all of us ... We hope everyone will feel the responsibility before our people who are defeated by their suffering, which suffers from the ravages of war, destruction and pandemic at the same time."
He emphasized coordination with the Arab coalition to tighten security measures to protect maritime borders against illegal immigration coming from the countries of the Horn of Africa in order to avoid the spreading of the virus and implement quarantine procedures stipulated by the World Health Organization.
He stressed that he directed the security services to impose no-fly zones and prevent curfews in the event of a pandemic in any area to besiege it and prevent its spread to other regions. Al-Zubaidi directed the formation of teams at the level of all governorates and directorates of the south and linked them to the charged emergency committee, to follow up and generalize preventive measures in all areas of the south and take the necessary action.
The Southern Transitional President stressed on the concerned authorities the need to sterilize the populated areas according to the available capabilities and work in cooperation with the competent health authorities and the media to summarize the health and preventive directions and directives that are capable of facing this virus, generalizing it and following up on developments.
