Marib, Newsyemen:

A field source reported the death of 24 Houthi militia members, along with government forces, and the families of 5 other Houthis, including a leader, on Sunday in the Serwah Front, west of Marib Governorate.

The source said that groups of the Houthi militia attempted to retrieve the village of Deira, which the army forces had recently been able to purge in the Sarawah front, but that units from the "al-Hayat" battalion led by Brigadier Muhammad Abdel Qawi al-Saidi al-Hamayqani were able to repel it.

It explained that clashes with various weapons resulted in the death of 24 Houthi militants, the wounding of a number of others, and the capture of 5 others, including the field leader called "Hashem Al-Rubai".

The field source indicated that the remaining Houthi attackers had fled after their attack was foiled, leaving behind two sets, 12 automatic Kalashnikovs, the Wausau cannon, and a large quantity of ammunition.

It explained that the prisoners are:

 - Supervisor Hashem Muhammad Sagheer al-Rubai (Amran Governorate - Khamer Directorate).

 - Muhammad Yahya Abdullah Mujammal Al-Ayyani (Al-Mahwit Governorate - Al-Tawila Directorate).
