The world celebrates the International Day of Mine Clearance on April 4 of every year, to raise awareness of the dangers it poses to the lives of citizens, as it is a reminder of the tragedy of the victims

According to the media official for the Saudi Mine Clearance Program "Massam" Abdulmalik Mudhish, the celebration of this day is an occasion to remember the tragedies of the victims, as well as an occasion to educate citizens about the dangers posed by mines, and how to avoid entering suspicious places.

He said, “World Mine Day” is also a reminder of the efforts of 33 engineering teams working on a pore project, whose efforts culminated in the removal of approximately 200,000 mines.

The engineers of dismantling and removing mines confirm that the effects of mines will last for decades, after the Houthi militia covered the areas in which they were before they were expelled, with hundreds of thousands of them.

One worker said that the number of mine injuries decreased in many places thanks to the efforts of the engineers of the National Demining Program and Massam Program, but it witnessed a high frequency in the areas that the engineering teams did not reach, calling for making the occasion a day to expose the militia crimes against innocent people.

Houthi militias have turned the west coast into the largest minefield in the world, as mines remain as an obstacle in front of hundreds of families returning to their homes.
