The security belt forces in Abyan governorate thwarted an armed terrorist attack by al-Qaeda members on a security point in Al-Wadhea belt.
A security source said that units of the security belt in the Al-Wadhea district responded to an unsuccessful attack by terrorist organization members targeting the security point of Tanukh, without causing any injuries.
It explained that the forces of the security belt and the rapid intervention forces continue to chase the terrorist organization's elements, who fled towards the "Al-Battan" area, east of the Al-Wadhea district in Abyan.
