Aden, Newsyemen:

On Tuesday, the government of interim President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi accused the UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths of prolonging the crisis and encouraging the Houthi militia to commit more crimes against civilians.

The Minister of Information in the legitimate government, Muammar Al-Iryani, said that the vague stances of the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, prolong the crisis and do not serve efforts to end the war and bring peace.

Al-Iryani added, in a statement published by the official news agency (Saba), that the haze of Griffiths "gives the Houthi militia a green light to escalate its military operations and the repeated targeting of civilians, the last of which was the sniping of two children in Taiz, one of whom was killed and the other suffering from severe wounds."

Al-Iryani said that "the position issued by the Special Envoy for Yemen in which he did not expressly point the finger of Iran’s mercenaries (the Houthi militia) is very unfortunate and does not rise to the size of the terrorist crime."

The Minister of Information called on the UN envoy to visit the city of Taiz and see the location of the terrorist crime in the central prison in the city and the continuation of the siege imposed on Taiz Governorate in light of the international silence since the year 2015, and revealed lies and false allegations of the Houthi militia and its miserable attempts to cover its heinous crimes.
