Night clashes took place until dawn on Thursday in the fronts of the Al-Jub sector and Quroudh and Al-Thawkhab north of Dhale’, between the southern forces and the Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, after the ceasefire announced by the coalition took effect from midnight.
While calm and anticipation prevailed on the Al-Dhali fronts during the past few days - midnight last night and until Thursday dawn, violent clashes increased, intensifying the front of the Jab.
A field source said that the Houthi militias are trying to check the readiness and preparedness of the southern forces, while the southern forces in Jubb targeted the Houthi barracks in the town of Sabira.
The source added: The southern forces targeted the barracks and military gatherings of the Houthi militia and incurred losses in equipment and lives north of the Husha district.
Houthi militia attempted late in the day to launch an attack against the "Al-Hurra" and "Quroudh" sites, north-east of the Al-Husha district in the Habil Yahya sector, but they were dealt with and the artillery of the southern forces forced them to retreat and withdraw.
