Sources in the control and accounting apparatus controlled by the Houthi militias, the Iranian arm in Yemen, said that differences had erupted between the security leaders of the militias, due to corruption issues in some security agencies.

The sources added, that differences arose between the leaders of the Preventive Security and the head of the intelligence service, Abdulhakim al-Khaiwani, against the background of the discovery of corruption cases in the former National Security Agency and the intelligence services, as a report was submitted on these issues by the monitoring agency, which is controlled by the militias and managed by the militia leader Ali Al-Emad.

According to sources, hundreds of millions of corruption cases were exposed in the intelligence apparatus, including those related to controlling funds provided by international organizations that provide food and health relief support, and others related to buying and selling operations in exchange for the release of detainees, as well as extortions of legal persons, including businessmen and some officials.  In state institutions and obtaining funds from them, not to mention disposing of the allocations and budgets allocated to this device in illegal ways and at the expense of the rights of workers in them.

According to the sources, the report was submitted to the militia leader Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, which led to the outbreak of disputes between the security Houthi leaders who accused each other of trying to approach the militia leader by investing corruption reports, especially after some changes were made to financial officials in the intelligence apparatus.

The intelligence apparatus created by the militias by integrating the two national security and political security services is one of the militia's security arms, in addition to the militia's Preventive Security apparatus, which are devices that obtain large amounts of money and revenue from the militia’s control and dispose of it away from any oversight or accountability.
