The revenue institutions in Aden complete opening private accounts in the National Bank

A number of institutions and facilities in the capital, Aden, have completed opening their own accounts in the National Bank, in implementation of the directives of the head of the Self-Administration for the South, Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik.


Dr. Abdulsalam Hamid, Chairman of the Economic Committee and a member of the Self-Management Committee, said that the institutions that have completed their procedures are: the Tax Corporation, Al-Mualla Customs, Free Zone Customs, Taxpayer of Senior Taxes, Ports Authority, Oil Company, Aden Refineries Company, while other institutions are still following Procedures for opening accounts for it in Al Ahli Bank.


 Hamid praised the interaction of all parties with the decision to control revenue in the southern governorates, stressing that this doubles the size of the trust placed on the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, which is popularly empowered to harness those revenues in improving public services and community service, and lifting the capital Aden and the rest of the southern governorates from its deteriorating reality.



He urged the rest of the institutions to expedite the completion of the financial procedures for supplying to the National Bank, reassuring everyone that these resources will enter into the current account of these institutions and spend through those bodies as usual and according to financial systems with a difference that they will be subject to supervision to ensure that tampering and corruption is not allowed.



 The head of the economic team indicated that only sovereign resources will be directed in favor of improving public services such as water, electricity, hygiene and health and any emergency services.
