Newsyemen, Ahmed Fouad:

Houthi militia began deducting sums of money (royalties) added to imported goods and commercial goods, in the name of confronting the Corona pandemic covid-19.

Sources operating in the freight transport market confirmed that the Houthi militia imposed 7% of the value of what the Houthi militia considers as deducted customs on commercial goods while entering the group's control areas.

According to legal sources, these sums are illegal and are considered separatist measures, as opposed to increasing the prices of food and commercial goods and doubling the burden on citizens in the areas controlled by the Houthi coup.

Transport truck drivers said that the Houthi militia imposed an amount of 1 million riyals in the Afar area of Al-Bayda governorate under the name of customs, and 70,000 riyals for this amount to confront the Corona virus without writing written documents.

Earlier, the Houthi militia opened 3 bank accounts to collect donations under the name "Responding to the Epidemic".
