On Tuesday, units of the army and the Popular Resistance, supported by coalition aircraft, thwarted the most violent attack by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, on the Qaniya front in Al-Bayda Governorate.

A military source told Newsyemen that the Houthi militia launched a violent attack that lasted for hours, in order to control the Qaniya area, on the impact of its progress over the past 24 hours, by controlling the strategic locations of Al-Yisbel and Al-Hama.

It added that several Houthi groups participated in the attack in several forms on sites and fought violent confrontations with the army and tribesmen that lasted for more than seven hours, during which the Houthis suffered heavy losses in lives and equipment, denying that the militia made progress in the Qaniyeh market or cut off the Radman road.

Arab coalition fighters participated in supporting the army and tribes with several raids targeting gatherings and mechanisms of Houthi militias in the region, during which they were able to destroy several militia military vehicles.

According to the source, the confrontations and air strikes resulted in 30 deaths among the militia, including prominent leaders, most notably the Houthi leader Colonel Yassin Ahmed Ali Saleh Al-Washali, known as Abu Idris.
