Taiz, Newsyemen:

Army units thwarted an attempt to advance the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm, after it launched a major offensive on the eastern front of the city of Taiz.

A military source said that the national army repelled, at dawn today, Saturday, a large-scale attack by the Houthi militia on its positions in the Eastern Front, without achieving any significant progress.

This comes after a similar attack in the Jabal Al-Han front, Madurat and Wadi Hanash, to the west and north of the city of Taiz at dawn yesterday, Saturday, in which nine Houthi militia were killed and ten others were wounded.

Meanwhile, the Houthi militia has shelled residential neighborhoods of the city with artillery shells, seriously wounding a child and damaging a number of homes.

According to a local source, shells fired by the Houthi militia landed on the homes of the residents in the areas of the Ashraf al-Ashraf, Shamasi, Al-Thawra in the east, and the 30th Street in front of the central prison in the west.

In the context, a local source said that a civilian named Abdullah Al-Sharabi, at the age of forty-five, was martyred in the Al-Dimina area as a result of being targeted by a sniper from the Houthi militia stationed in Tiba al-Qarea, west of Taiz.
