Hadhramaut Health announces the discovery of 7 cases of Corona

 The Ministry of Health office in Hadhramaut Governorate announced the discovery of seven cases of corona, at dawn on Monday, including one death.


This came in a meeting held by the Governor of Hadhramaut, Major General Rukn Faraj Al-Bahsni, and Director of the Office of the Ministry of Health in Hadhramaut Coast, Dr. Riyad Al-Jariri, to discuss the developments of the epidemiological situation in the governorate from the beginning of January until 17 May.


 Al-Jariri said, in a statement: "Before monitoring these cases in the coast of Hadhramaut from January to May 17, 39 cases were recorded, of which 21 were confirmed as having laboratory disease as follows:" 3 cases of recovery, 6 deaths, and 12 active cases. 


Al-Jariri pointed out that the first case was discovered in Hadhramaut on April 5, and that most cases are over 45 years old by 57%, and from 25 years to 45 years old 33% is a "single case", and there are no infected cases in children, and most cases  Coming from endemic areas.


 For his part, the governor of Hadramaut, Faraj Al-Bahsni, stressed the importance of holding this meeting with medical personnel to push forward efforts to combat the "Corona" epidemic that swept the world and Hadramout and the country were not isolated from this dangerous virus.



The Governor reaffirmed the increase in readiness to confront the virus, which caused many cases in the coast and valley of Hadramaut, including deaths, and the need to sense the danger and commitment to prevention, as it is the most effective way to protect against disease.


 Al-Bahsni stressed that the local authority will work urgently to provide safety means for medical personnel, announcing his follow-up with the government to increase the allocations of health personnel by 40% and employ contractors and volunteers in the health field.
