The speaker of the House of Representatives, Sultan al-Burkani, said al-Houthi had dropped peace options, including the proposals of UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths.

Griffiths spoke of significant progress in the negotiations on his latest version of proposals to the parties to stop the fighting, resume the political process and manage joint efforts to deal with the Corona pandemic.

Al-Burkani also said that the chief of general staff, Lt. Gen. Saghir Bin Aziz , "was the first target of the treacherous aggression" in the rocket targeting camp of The Jinn Dish camp in Marib, tuesday night/Wednesday, after a meeting with Defense Minister Mohamed Ali Al-Qqishi, and the chief of staff survived and martyred his son, nephew and a number of escorts.

"Our armed forces will respond to the criminals, and the battle for liberation is coming," the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a telegram to the Chief of General Staff.

"We are on the way to defeating al-Houthi, and I see that soon after al-Houthi dropped the peace options, the latest of which is the initiative of the brothers in the coalition and the proposals of the envoy," he said.

"In the positions of honor and heroism, as you are in places of pride and dignity, and on the battlefields," he said.

"You were the first target of the treacherous aggression, and God bless you," he said.
