The leader of the Houthi group gave about 30 million riyals, personal weapons and ammunition to Sheikhs from Al Bayda, as a reward for accepting arbitration in the case of the Jihad Al-Asbahi killing.

A spokesman for the tribal support in Al-Bayda, Sheikh Tariq Al-Awadi said: "23 of the Sheikhs of Al-Bayda have received a million Yemenis Ryal , a gun and a pistol from Sanaa."

Sheikh Yasser Al-Awadi's brother added in a tweet: "They sold their dignity... God have mercy on you, jihad."

Activists circulated what they called "a list of shame" containing the names of 26 sheikhs of al-Bayda and its wise men, headed by Saleh al-Wehbi, Abdulwali al-Hayashi and Majed al-Dahab, as the three received varying amounts and weapons totaling 8 million riyals and 6 guns and pistols.

According to the leaked document, each of the remaining sheikhs received an amount of one million ryals, a Kalashnikov weapon, a pistol, and an ammunition bag from the Houthi leadership.

A tribal source revealed to Newsyemen on Sunday about a meeting held by the Houthi militia in Sanaa by Sheikhs from Al-Bayda, most of them loyal to it and attended by Houthi leaders from the first row, interspersed with a televised speech to the leader of the Houthi militia.
