Taiz, Newsyemen, private:

Muslim Brotherhood militia continues to refuse to deliver the medicines they have been detained for two days, provided by UNICEF to hospitals in districts of the West Coast in Taiz Governorate

A source in the health office said that the Brotherhood militia detained two days ago a shipment of medicines intended for the districts of Al-Mocha and Dhu Bab, at the 30th point of entry to the city of Taiz.

The source pointed out that the Brotherhood's militias rejected the directives of the governor of the governorate and the health office to deliver the consignment of medicines for five public hospitals in the districts of Mocha and Dhu Bab.

In a related context, the Taiz Health Bureau said, in an official communication, that withholding the shipment of medicines will prompt UNICEF to stop supplying the governorate with the supply package provided by the organization to mothers and children.

The Health Bureau also called on the leadership of the Taiz axis and the leadership of 17th Brigade, to release immediately the seized medicines, and to facilitate their delivery to the targeted health facilities in the districts of Mocha and Dhu Bab.
