Taiz, Newsyemen, Moataz Al-Shawafi:

Eight years have passed since the signing of the Riyadh Agreement, and it has still not been achieved, due to the efforts made by the Brotherhood Islah Party to block the agreement that the Muslim Brotherhood believes that its implementation will limit their influence and their acquisition of legitimacy, which they have succeeded during the past years in controlling its political decision and the military, especially that, the agreement affirmed a number of provisions, foremost among which is activating the role of all authorities and institutions of the Yemeni state, reorganizing the military forces under the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, and reorganizing the security forces under the leadership of the Ministry of Interior.

Since the agreement was signed on the fifth of last November, senior Brotherhood leaders and within the legitimacy itself began to question the agreement and attack it and disavow it, and in the forefront of these leaders are the two brotherhood members, Ahmed Al-Maysari and Saleh Al-Jabwani.

Al-Jabwani proved that legitimacy has become completely violated by the international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood, and that Brotherhood leaders within legitimacy put the group’s agenda before the national agenda, as it rushed from within the legitimacy itself to question the agreement.

He said that the UAE made the Riyadh agreement to win what it lost in the Yemeni war, pointing out that the agreement ranges in its place, and that the aim of it is to strike legitimacy at the core, and that the Riyadh agreement struck legitimacy at the core, took the elements of its own strength, and gave the transitional council official recognition.

Also in conjunction with the signing of the Riyadh Agreement, the Brotherhood Minister Ahmed al-Misiri stated what he said was his rejection of the Saudi military presence on the land Al-Mahrah and its replacement in the sovereign sites instead of the Yemeni cadre, and criticized what he described as the negative behaviors and indicators of Saudi Arabia in Al-Mahra Governorate, calling for the need to correct it and stand before it.

The media affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood Islah Party attacked the agreement and paved the way for political and military steps that the party will take to disable this agreement, where al-Jabwani, without the knowledge and consent of the Yemeni government, visited Turkey and signed agreements to hand over Yemeni ports to the Turkish side for administration.

The steps taken by the Muslim Brotherhood to disrupt the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement continued throughout the past months since the signing of the agreement, to increase its pace in conjunction with President Hadi's holding of his last meeting in Riyadh with his deputy, Speaker of Parliament, Head of Government, Advisory Commission and leaders of political parties, which was allocated to discuss the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.

The Muslim Brotherhood has adopted the demand for Turkish intervention in Yemen as an alternative to the Arab coalition, and they called for mass rallies against the Arab coalition and to demand the intervention of Turkey in Yemen, where they called for these marches to go out in their areas of influence, specifically in Taiz, where dozens of people came out raising slogans against the Arab coalition and the Saudi and Emirati leaders.

Although the Riyadh Agreement confirmed the rejection of territorial, sectarian discrimination and division, and the cessation of offensive media campaigns of all kinds between the parties, the offensive media campaigns against the Arab Coalition and the Southern Transitional Council continued from all the media affiliated with the Brotherhood, all the way to the official TV of the legitimacy, which broadcasts from the Saudi capital Riyadh, which is controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood, where the head of the Brotherhood television sector, Jamil Ezzeddine, and from the official Yemeni satellite channel launched a scathing attack against the United Arab Emirates, which he described as the occupying country, and attacked the Southern Transitional Council.

It is noteworthy that the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council had signed on November 5 in the Saudi capital Riyadh, a reconciliation agreement, with Saudi mediation and the participation of the Coalition to support legitimacy, with the aim of activating the role of all the authorities and institutions of the Yemeni state, reorganizing the military forces under the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, reorganizing the security forces under the leadership of the Ministry of Interior, adhering to the full citizenship rights of all Yemeni people, rejecting territorial and sectarian discrimination, and rejecting division , and stopping abusive media campaigns of all kinds between the parties, uniting efforts under the leadership of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy to restore security and stability in Yemen, and confront terrorist organizations.
