Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, President of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, head of self-administration, said on Tuesday that they feared insisting on handing over the banknotes to the central bank in Mukalla or Marib.
The forces of the Southern Transitional Council are holding containers of banknotes, which were recently printed by the government of interim President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, without cover.
Major General Ahmed bin Brik said, on his account in "Twitter": "We are afraid of insisting on handing the banknotes containers to the central bank in Mukalla or Marib to be seized from Al Qaeda and ISIS and repeating the 2015 play in Hadhramaut."
