On Wednesday, the army and tribes recovered sites they had lost in the Qaniya front, north of Al-Bayda Governorate, central Yemen

A tribal source said that the tribesmen and government forces launched an attack on the locations of the Houthi militia in the Qaniya front and were able to regain control of a number of locations from the direction of the camp after carrying out a detour to areas near the field hospital near the Qaniya market.

According to the source, tribal forces from Murad tribes were able to reach al-Rakheem, the al-Rakheem dam, control the sites, kill all 13 militia members, and control the weapons and ammunition they had in their possession.

It pointed out that after controlling the areas, the tribal fighters retreated to the starting point of Al-Kanb, the point where the Houthi militia from the Al-Faleq mountain range turned and posed a threat to the fighters, which forced them to withdraw.

In the areas south of the Qaniya market, which is the Wael and Al-Ramdah mountain range of Radman District, the army forces stationed in Al-Jisl and Al-Aar withdrew from them, despite their control over them since the weekend, after the Houthi militia wrapped up.

According to Newsyemen sources, the confrontations expanded to include areas inside Radman district, North Al-Bayda, and other areas in the vicinity of Qaniya, on the borders of the districts of Mahlia and Al-Abdiya, south of Marib.

The southern front of the Qaniya market is the most important, as it threatens the militia and overlooks the Qaniya center. These sites are 23 km from the center of Al-Abdiya.

The sources pointed out that the Houthis suffered heavy human and equipment losses and that about 20 bodies were still dumped in the confrontation areas, in addition to other families.

In the same context, a tribal source confirmed the shooting down of a Houthi militia plane carrying explosives at the same front.

Whereas, the Houthi militia launched a ballistic missile that targeted Murad station in Mahlia.
