Local residents stated that, during the past days, the Houthi militia distributed paper envelopes to the residents of Sanaa and the surrounding areas, including demanding these residents to provide funds under the names of supporting the fronts, and under political slogans such as "our feasts are our fronts."

The sources reported that a number of districts leaders - working with the Houthi militia - inaugurated the distribution of these envelopes to the citizens, and told them to return to take back these envelopes after the citizens put the financial amounts inside and closed them.

According to the population, this process included an implicit threat to deprive citizens of domestic gas cylinders that are distributed through the district leaders working in the ranks of the militia, which also has a monopoly on investment and trade in oil derivatives in general and receives monthly aid from Iran.

For the third consecutive week, residents of the capital, Sanaa, and the neighboring governorates, are suffering a stifling crisis in household gas, just days before the blessed Eid al-Adha holiday.
