The head of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Hadhramaut Governorate, Dr. Muhammad Jaafar bin Al-Sheikh, condemned the hostile and brutal actions committed by the Muslim Brotherhood militia against peaceful demonstrators in Al-Mahra governorate, and its kidnapping of the head of the local leadership in the city of Ghaida.

This came in a phone call made by Ibn Al-Sheikh Abu Bakr with the acting head of the local leadership of the Council in Al-Mahra Governorate, Hassan Mahdi Belhaf, during which he congratulated him on the success of the march of million that the provincial capital embraced on Saturday afternoon.

Bin Al-Sheikh Abu Bakr affirmed the right of the skilled people to peacefully assemble, express their opinion, and demand that they be able to manage the affairs of their province.

For his part, Mahdi expressed his thanks to the transitional president of Hadhramaut and all the people of Hadhramaut for their support and media support for the event.

It emphasized that the activity, despite all the obstacles, threats and hostilities committed by the Brotherhood's militia in Al-Mahra in order to disable it, but it succeeded in conveying its message.

He pointed out that the free skilled people expressed their free southern national will, and declared their support behind the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council and their support for its political and institutional steps aimed at achieving the accomplished southern national independence.

He pointed out that the Brotherhood's militias, by preventing the masses from exercising their legitimate right to peaceful assembly, demonstrated their powerlessness and fear that the crowds would expose their meager size and limited political impact in the Mahri society.

The Brotherhood's militia, under the guidance of Salem al-Harizi, had spread since Friday in the city of al-Ghaydah, and set up points for the protesters to stop them from reaching the demonstration square, and prevented a group of Hadramout media from entering al-Mahra to cover the event.
