Aden, Newsyemen, private:

The Houthi Militia, has suspended the payment system for terrestrial internet service bills for subscribers through the YemenNet office in Aden, southern Yemen.

The move came at a time when a wide segment of Yemenis were awaiting the liberation of the telecommunications sector by the government of interim President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

Yemen Net subscribers in Aden said they were surprised that the Yemen Net office had stopped paying service bills and diverted the operation through the main center controlled by the Houthi militia in Sanaa.

The journalist, Saleh Al-Baidhani, had previously revealed shocking information about the association of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology in the legitimacy government with the Houthi militia.

"The Ministry of Communications in the legitimate government has become one of the most serious weaknesses as a result of its suspicious performance and the association of many of its leaders with corruption networks in Sana'a and Aden alike," said al-Baydani, in a series of tweets on his Twitter account.

He emphasized that the Minister of Communications Lutfi Bashrif, was blocking any attempts to separate control over the Internet, post and all systems that are still being run by the Houthis.

He stated that some of those around him (Bashrif) are visiting the Houthi-controlled areas on a regular basis, adding that his ministry "is still completely managed from the Al-Jarf in Sanaa".

Al-Baidhani said, in another tweet: "The Houthis were able to plant many elements within the corruption networks in legitimacy so that those elements receive the self-protection provided by the lobby of influential corruption and solicitation."

He concluded by saying: "If the person in charge of legitimacy wants to become a hero, he can hold the Arab coalition responsible for failure at any time, while he cannot even imply the role of corruption networks so that his interests are not damaged and he doesn’t lose his position."
