Endowments and sports clubs lands in Ibb governorate are subjected to systematic looting campaigns by influential people affiliated with the Houthi militia.
Private sources said that the director of the Endowments office is the one who leads this campaign with armed groups without referring to the previous documents.
The club of Ibb is the oldest club in the Republic of Yemen, the director of the Endowments Office (Al-Asal) leased the club’s floor to others in contravention of the laws and regulations .
According to media sources, he was not satisfied with that, but rather leased the floor of the Central Agency for Control and Accounting to another person, without returning contracts.
The leadership of Al-Shaab Club was surprised by the statements of the endowment manager in one of the channels affiliated with the Houthi militia that the club had usurped the land.
To that, the club administration asked the competent authorities that what applies to the Republic’s clubs applies to them, but the Endowment Director refused this, and rejected the ruling of the competent court that instructed to keep everything as it was until the case was decided.
He accused a group of athletes that there is a systematic approach and abuses by the Director of the Endowment Office targeting sports facilities amid the silence of the local authority.
It is worth noting that the Director of the Endowments Office previously dealt with the Etihad Club in Ibb, in the same way, as he imprisoned one of the club's cadres, Captain Ahmed Al-Barid, before being released under personal mediation.
