Aden, Newsyemen:

Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works has installed two devices to sterilize passengers and departures through Socotra International Airport.

The first two devices were installed at the airport's main terminal gate to sterilize passengers and departures and those who enter and exit the airport, and the other installed on the terminal gate to sterilize all arriving passengers.

These devices work on advanced automated sterilization, where they have sensors that work automatically, and also read the temperature of the person who has been sterilized through sprays in order to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 virus on the island.

The foundation told The Socotra Gate that it will train 6 people on advanced equipment from airport staff, political security and the Ministry of Health office in order to learn how to use the device to work on it during the arrival of various flights to the airport.

This came as part of the foundation's efforts to develop the airport and provide it with the most important and modern devices that raise its level and in line with the laws of international airports and the International Aviation Organization by providing safety devices, especially in the exceptional situation that the world is currently going through under the needs of Coved 19.

The management of Socotra International Airport appreciated the attention and support of Khalifa Airport Foundation, stressing that the institution continues to develop and advance the airport in order to increase its rating of airports equipped with modern and developed devices at the local, regional and international levels.
