The Media Center of the Governor of Hodeidah quoted the Director General of At-Tuhaita Directorate, Hassan Hanbeeq, that "the resistance men evacuated the citizens from the course of the flood by a lightning operation, and there were no casualties."

Hanbeeq was explaining to the governor of the governorate, Dr. Al-Hassan Taher, today, along with the director of the governorate's security, Najib Warq, while they were visiting the Al-Hima area, which swept the torrent, a camp for nearly 500 displaced people, last Wednesday.

According to the media center's report, the governor was briefed on "the catastrophic damage to the displaced camp, which was completely swept away by the torrents."

The governor inspected the extent of the suffering and damage caused to the citizens and the displaced in the area as a result of the torrential flow of rain.

The director of Al-Tuhaita directorate said that "the material losses are very large, as the floods swept away the water network that used to feed the displaced persons camp and the coastal village of Al-Hima and swept away many houses and tents with the property of citizens and livestock, and people became in the open."

The governor issued an "urgent distress call for humanitarian organizations to intervene quickly and urgently to provide relief to the people and displaced persons of the coastal neighborhood and all the villages and cities of Tihama that are exposed to the disaster of torrential rains and torrential rains."

According to the news, the governor, along with Abdullah Al-Hubaishi, director of the Emirates Red Crescent in the coast, distributed a number of tents and shelter materials to the most affected by the displaced from the coastal Al-Hima camp.
