Lamlas: The needs of the water sector were among our priorities in the Riyadh meetings

On Sunday morning, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, Governor of Aden Governorate, visited the Public Corporation for Water and Sewage in Aden.

During the visit, he was briefed on the status of the institution and heard from the Director General of the Foundation, M. Fathi Al-Saqqaf and the employees pointed to the most prominent problems and obstacles facing the work of the institution and impeding the provision of its services to citizens.

For his part, the governor stressed the need to redouble efforts and work according to the available capabilities, stressing that he would work to solve all water sector problems in coordination with all concerned state agencies.

He stressed that the needs and requirements of the water sector in Aden were a priority for him during his meetings in Riyadh with the Prime Minister and the Saudi Fund for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen.

He pointed out that the local authority will support the institution with government support provided to the governorate, and that there are commitments from the Saudi fund for this sector that will arrive soon.

Hoping that this would help in the recovery of the water sector in Aden and improve the level of services it provides to citizens.
