NewsYemen, Shabwa:

Doctors at Ataq City Hospital, the capital of Shabwa governorate, suspended work until further notice in protest against the arrest, insult and threat of one of its cadres by the son of the commander of the Ataq axis at the late hour of Saturday evening.

The doctors carried out a protest stand in front of the Ataq Hospital building today in solidarity with their colleague, the doctor on duty in the emergency, who was attacked by the son of the Axis commander, Abdullah Aziz Al-Ateeqi, and heavily armed soldiers were attacked and threatened with withdrawal and arrest after he refused to leave the hospital to inspect a special case.

The doctors explained that all the wounded and critical cases go to the emergency room to be examined, and that the examination should take place in a medical bed and with medical equipment in order for the inspection to be done adequately and correctly.

They indicated that they provide humanitarian service in conditions and a healthy environment that lacks the most basic safety requirements, despite the delay in paying their salaries, without privileges and suffering from great pressure due to the lack of medical staff, most of whom fled outside the governorate due to the brutal actions of the military and security forces of the Brotherhood.

The doctors called on the authority in the governorate to assume its responsibility and protect them from the escaped elements. They also demanded the necessity of restoring honor to all those who have been violated, the fulfillment of all their demands and the respect of their humanitarian profession.
