The Houthi militia exploits its authority in Sana'a to achieve its goals of pursuing Sunni mosques and cracking down on them.

For the second consecutive Friday, the militias cracked down on the worshipers of the Sunna Mosque in the city of Sawan in Sana'a, in an effort to control the mosque and impose the cry and appoint a preacher who belongs to their militia to the mosque.

The militias blocked the road and prevented cars from passing in the street, to install speakers outside the mosque in order to perform the cry during and after the prayer.

The worshipers told "NewsYemen", last Friday, the Houthi militia has harassed the worshipers, and is in contact with those in charge of the mosque in order to impose a sermon to the mosque, accusing the people in charge of the mosque of not dealing with "aggression" in their sermons.

They added that they wanted to repeat the cry in the middle of the mosque, but those in charge of the mosque among the predecessors and also the worshipers refused, which prompted them to set up headphones in the street.

They emphasized that army and police elements affiliated with the militias are deployed around the mosque, surrounding it from all directions.
