Aden, NewsYemen:

Media sources reported that Lieutenant General Mutlaq bin Salem bin Mutlaq Al-Azima, the new commander of the joint forces of the Arab coalition in Yemen, summoned an Emirati military commander who was the architect of the battle to liberate Marib from the Houthi militia, in 2015.

This comes with a field retreat of the Yemeni legitimate forces in the Marib Governorate, in exchange for the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, being able to control strategic areas, as the battles intensified there.

According to observers, the move reflected a trend to correct the errors that appeared recently in managing the battle with the Houthis in Marib, and led to the return of the Houthi militia to control areas that had been liberated by a military operation led by the Arab coalition forces on the ground.
