Aden, NewsYemen:

The Coast Guard forces in Hadhramaut governorate, eastern Yemen, continue to implement their tasks in protecting the regional waters since their establishment by the Arab coalition years ago.

The coast guard forces succeeded in securing the beaches of Hadhramaut from smuggling, as a result of the relentless movement of the naval boats of these forces.

The tasks of the Coast Guard forces in the governorate require a survey of more than 276 kilometers, equivalent to 150 nautical miles from the shores of the governorate.

Majed Abu Bakr Al-Awbthani, commander of the coast guard forces in Hadhramaut, explained that despite the difficult conditions the country is going through, the coast guard forces in the governorate succeeded in performing their tasks and were able to secure a long coastal strip of smuggling operations of all kinds, in addition to its other tasks in rescue and assistance operations.

He added that the Coast Guard forces in the province recently imposed strict measures to regulate the navigation movement of traditional fishing vessels, according to Sky News Arabia.

Coast Guard Maritime Security Commander in Hadhramaut, Second Lieutenant Muhamidan Hassan Al-Jaridi, said that the leaders of the Coast Guard forces attribute the success they have achieved to the support of the Arab coalition, especially the United Arab Emirates' continuous support for these forces since their re-establishment and the official handover of their duties in protecting regional waters.
